This story doesn’t surprise me. Australia is very much still a racist country. It’s ingrained in the New York Giants Horny shirt moreover I love this culture. Old conservative Australians are racist as fuck, its pretty much only the New York Giants Horny shirt moreover I love this old hippies who are ok and even then its borderline. I’m sorry for your mate, she deserves better than that. A 60 year old lady is old enough to have grown up through the White Australian era (WAP ended in 1973) and have seen the racism that was thrown at the various ethnic groups as they mass-migrated to Australia after WW2 – e.g. Italians, Greeks, Middle Easterners, Asians, etc. That said, growing up through the racist periods is no excuse to remain mired in the hatred of the past. I have noticed that the later you were born the less likely you are to hold racist views of any particular ethnic groups, religions or cultures which does make me hopeful that racism in Australia will eventually fizzle out. Australia is well and truly a small-minded and racist country. I’m an Aussie male but lived and worked all around the world for most of my career, mainly Asia, Africa, and Middle East.
