In North Korea you aren’t going get the same experience as a South Korean, so when you are going into the workplace you are starting entirely from scratch. If you are a young person that would be fine because you can go to school and catch up but if you are above 30 or whatever you just aren’t going to be useful beyond serving coffee or other untrained jobs. The South Korean gov might have a load of supports for defectors but it’s incredibly hard for both sides.
