From experience, Christians love acting like we cannot understand the Never underestimate a woman understands football and loves Packers signature shirt In addition,I will do this concept of faith or believing without evidence, because they’re taught faith is a virtue and your capability to believe without evidence is tied to your goodness. I seriously doubt that just because someone doesn’t follow the traditions of War automatically turns them into someone who wants to perform blood sacrifice I’ll find when I die, but other than that I don’t really care. What happens after we die is the business of the dead, and no one else’s. This is why I don’t bring up my views on religion unless I absolutely have to for whatever reason. hot take; maybe we should just respect people’s personal beliefs, unless they use their beliefs as justification/ an excuse to be a shitty person. No one does religionon weekdays if they have other options. y’know, since people are talking about how OOP was being smug and not actually making any points, i wanna actually analyze the responses in this post. i’ll analyze each from two perspectives: the perspective of ‘when i hear the word religion i hear christianity’ and the perspective of a person who understands that multiple religions exist. disclaimer: i am jewish. christianity: it’s pretty reductive to discount the old testament as primitive superstition because it has, y’know, stories. you can mock creation myths all you want, but nobody understands how abiogenesis happened. as for the blood sacrifices bit, it’s no secret leviticus has a lot of really arbitrary rules, but which rules a specific sect, denomination, or individual believer follows depends on their own interpretation of the text. if everyone tried to follow the commandments as closely as possible, it would literally be impossible to meet the commandments, especially since the temple was destroyed. that’s not what christianity is about, from what i understand about the various sects of christianity.
