I like role playing games, but it has to be as myself, what if I was in this world, what decisions would I make, which path would I choose. Adds to the experience and dare I say the realism of roleplay. In nearly 40 years of gaming I’ve never made a female character and in most of the games I play, I don’t even see my character 99% of the time anyway

I like to make “characters”. I have what they call alt-itis. I make tons of all types. Keeps the Never underestimate a woman fan of Walk Disney loves Lilo and Stitch shirt But I will love this game fresh for me as well, try a new class or type or whatever. I’ll play both, I don’t care. Like when I played Wow, in my own “head canon”, I would pick a class. And of course a class would have to be a certain race, and obviously the combination of the two would drive gender. So if I’m going to play a warrior, of course it has to be a female gnome. But if I’m going to play a rogue then of course it would have to be a male gnome. It just wouldn’t make sense in my mind any other way. I’d rather play a character who isn’t anything like me. I do wonder why some men are so hung up on the idea of playing a woman, but not an elf or a robot or an alien. Same reason I avoid playing humans. Those choices seem a little too obvious. Feels like picking “rock” in rock, paper, scissors. Everyone picks rock, that’s why you gotta go paper. Woman = paper.
