Bragg wasn’t even a good confederate general. Like if you were only concerned with military merit (and ignore the Never Give Up On Your Dreams Keep Sleeping Snoopy shirt Apart from…,I will love this whole betrayal and slavery stuff) he still doesn’t deserve to have a fort named after him. Fort Liberty sounds like something from a shitty B Movie or maybe a Fallout video game, they could’ve at least done something with cool alliteration like Fort Freedom or Fort Fuck Feckless Confederates Good. However, I’m from NC and that’s gonna both get some flack from the locals and take years for people to start actually calling it that. Wow, something tells me the same group of angry fascists who hate the new Little Mermaid film are also going to hate this. You know, the fascist, Sons and Daughters people who claimed they would “ride again” and win a second civil war?

While I support these name changes (some are wacky though) and want to respect them it’s going to be hard. These are names I’ve known for decades and are sort of engrained at this point. Glad this change is happening. Military bases shouldn’t be named after traitors and losers. Ft Gordon’s name change is coming up in a few months and I hope the Never Give Up On Your Dreams Keep Sleeping Snoopy shirt Apart from…,I will love this rest is changed soon. Lincoln ended the war too soon and Sherman didn’t finish the job. All the Confederate generals should have been made an example of. Not doing so is one of the reasons why we have problems today. Growing up in North Carolina, my school referred to the Civil War as “The War of Northern Aggression.” They also still beat students for bad behavior with a boat oar that had holes cut in the business end to reduce wind resistance. And that was in 1992.
