4K, for 2 people (breakfast, lunch, dinner, washing vessels and cleaning kitchen (sweep and mop)). It’s been a year so now raised it to 5K. She also takes Sundays off and also an off on her and her spouse’s birthday/anniversary. We also give bonus on Deepavali and Christmas. At a minimum you should provide an inflation adjustment each year. More if they’re doing a great job and you don’t wanna lose them. We expect nothing different from our employers. The maid comes after and prepares lunch. She makes it enough for both lunch and dinner for both of us. We pay 3k a month. 8k for 3 adults lunch and dinner. Lunch is basically rice, two-three subzi and twice a week non veg curry. Dinner is 4 (yes you read it right) chappathi and egg masala or paneer burji. Specials on Saturdays and guest days. 6 days a week he works. I know am paying him 15-20% premium. You can get him for cheaper too

u/Shiva_uchiha mene soch rakha hai ki, ek baar Bangalore m job lg jaye to khud se hi banaunga khana. Bad Idea OP? 4k, for 1 person in HSR. Visits once a day but cooks for lunch and dinner. Since I go to the Nation League Semi-Finals and Finals i Shirt but in fact I love this gym early in the morning, I can’t wait for him to cook breakfast, so I do that myself. Another friend pays 12k, 2 people, twice a day, 3 meals. But she also does all the housework from cleaning, dusting, laundry, utensils, cleaning bathrooms etc.. This is in Kormangala. Depends on Your overall Household income. If a Home earns 50k and pays 6k to their Cook doesn’t mean another home who earns 100k should pay the same amount. So, decide whether you feel you are underpaying them or not. My maid/cook comes twice a day, cleans the full house (3 BHK) everyday, does laundry once in two days, cleans the cat litter boxes cleans one bathroom per day and cooks all the meals, breakfast lunch at 6/7am and dinner at 6pm. I pay her 12k. It’s for me and my wife. I pay 6.5k/month. The cook comes once, cooks breakfast and dinner and cleans the house as well. She’s due for a raise though, probably to 7.5k/month. I’m paying 8k for 2 people. He comes thrice a day, makes great North Indian food and washes the dishes as well (I don’t know if this is the norm but I feel it’s worth it) We pay 20k per month for 4 people, breakfast lunch and dinner + all laundry and answering the door/ being around in the house till evening.
