I thought I was ok until I met a friend for lunch and she was boasting about how many couples she had set up – although the My Spirit Animal Is A Grumpy Turtle Who Slap Annoying People shirt and I love this couples were younger (we’re in our 50’s) I realised it had really rattled me that she didn’t try to matchmake me. I have the My Spirit Animal Is A Grumpy Turtle Who Slap Annoying People shirt and I love this cuddliest dog for company and for adventures out and about and a cat that……actually I’m not sure what she does since she’s really antisocial and doesn’t like to be touched. But aside from that she’s great! I used to have moments of loneliness when I was younger so I can understand others saying the same but my life is pretty good now all things considered. Almost definitely going to lose my seat when I get up to pee and this is my biggest crisis in my life right now. Which has got to be a good sign, right? F37, had many bad relationships, one of which had terrible consequences. I’m at peace now with my life as it is, without other people and all the trouble they bring. I am doing okay. I was reminded constantly since I was a child how ugly I was. So, I never had any illusions of finding a boyfriend with the way I look. Now, I just spent time with my cat, do a lot of solo travelling, and work out at the gym. It keeps me sane. Late thirties, never been in a relationship, but ok with that even though I would like to be. I have a lot going for me (good job, reasonably good looking in my opinion, and fun to be around) but I just don’t meet people I click with, or who seem interested in me beyond the first meeting. I have been on apps and had few matches let alone dates, but I don’t mind that as I enjoy my alone time and hope to meet someone worth my time in future.
