I had a similar experience when I was about 6 or 7. How I wish it was with macaroni and cheese. Nowv think about this happening every day for years and you have my childhood. I am in my 40s and still struggle with food trauma. I won’t eat Indian food because my friends mom would force feed it to me on multiple occasions. My boyfriend doesn’t understand that and gets upset that I won’t get Indian food with him. Just get it on your own time, I have a weird past with it and can not swallow it now. Yeah, hes weird about food but I am too. Doesnt really matter. I’d happily swallow a calorie pill if they existed so we just compromise (usually by me force feeding myself because I will quite literally go all day with out eating and be happy, and I know thats not good).
