And I don’t want my tax money subsidizing people who purposely destroy their own health by being overweight and sedentary. Except you’re already paying for those people in the Moses Brown American professional basketball player for Portland Trail Blazers T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this US, through insurance and taxes, just at a far higher rate than anywhere in the world. And, at any rate, those people don’t cost more. The UK recently did a study and they found that from the three biggest healthcare risks; obesity, smoking, and alcohol, they realize a net savings of £22.8 billion (£342/$474 per person) per year. This is due primarily to people with health risks not living as long (healthcare for the elderly is exceptionally expensive), as well as reduced spending on pensions, income from sin taxes, etc.. Sweden (and EU in general) is a place where free healthcare is done right. Facilities recieve sufficient funding, medical professionals recieve respectable salaries, citizens have access to healthcare, medical research is also being done. It helps with money aspect, but also drains free healthcare of qualified professionals.
