Moving abroad is very rewarding and absolutely worth it if it’s the Mission Completed 100 Days Of School 100th Day Of School Gamer Axolotl T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this right fit for the person attempting it, but it comes with some very real and daily challenges that should be considered. Doesn’t matter if it’s Paris or Peoria, anywhere where you have to pay the bills loses a fair amount of its charm pretty quickly when you’re doing daily life stuff. 100% on this. Also in Europe and contemplating a move because part of me feels like I may be ready for it. Very much exploring the “do I want to move there because it’s the right place to go to” and “did I just enjoy it since I was on holiday and had a good time.” OP, give yourself time to decompress and process the trip. Explore the realities of living abroad and what that could look like for you. It’s important to remember that if you were to move, life would still have bills/settling in to a new place/ job/etc. with the added cultural and potential language adjustment. If you traveled around and weren’t in one city for the entire time, it’s certainly a perk/more accessible to do, but you likely won’t be traveling as much as you think you might when you consider the rhythm of normal life. I certainly don’t regret living here and am not planning on returning to the US any time soon, however it’s not without challenges and it’s easy to get caught in the romance of living abroad. Once you’ve had time to “settle back in,” revisit it and see what opportunities are out there if you’re still set on it. I came for a year and it’s been 5.5! 🙂

You’re welcome! I hope I wasn’t too harsh, I’ve just often seen the Mission Completed 100 Days Of School 100th Day Of School Gamer Axolotl T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this “I’m ready to move” and thoughts vs reality are very different and I wish you all the luck/success as you navigate what you may want to do. Also, culture shock when you return to your home country is real! I definitely face culture shock in certain instances when I go back to visit. yep. And I think there’s levels to it too. I feel it every time my vacation ends, but it was worst right after i finished my trip to Japan. I was miserable for maybe a month. And I have been longing when can i come back there since then. Yes. Caused me to plan further trips which I then executed. Time to plan your next trip. Ready for South America or Asia?
