I feed them half a can of wet food each in the Mike Schmidt American former professional baseball third baseman philadelphia phillies T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this morning and I fill a plate thing with 1/4 cup dry food twice a day. I’m still in the process of slowly weening out dry food and going back to a can of wet food each a day as I’ve had to come to terms with the reality that my cats are, in fact, not fluffy, but fat. Dry food is out all the time, as well as water, and she gets wet food at dinner time. She has no problems with free feeding, no weight problems so this system works well for us! My girl gets dry food to graze throughout the day. At dinner she gets canned wet food and when she asks nicely she gets cat milk. She always has water available. She sometimes enjoys eating my dog’s dry food and his wet food, too. Sometimes I give her a small scoop of wet dog food out of the can. The dog grazes as well, so he constantly has dry food available to him in his bowl.

EDIT: we found her as a stray at 6 weeks old. She was skin and bone. It too her maybe a year and a half to realise food will always be available to her and she doesn’t need to scoff it down. My older cat at the Mike Schmidt American former professional baseball third baseman philadelphia phillies T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this time also had no interest in eating her food although she liked eating his. He used to eat a little bit at a time, including his wet food. So she would finish hers and then run over to his to eat that, too. 854 more repliesI’ve tried everything to get my guy to eat canned food that’s been refrigerated. Microwave, hot water, nutritional yeast, etc. They sell 80g cans… but it’s the more expensive food. And I’m still risking him not eating the evening portion because it was in the fridge. Mine always have dry food on hand. Feeding time(1/4 can of wet food) is twice/day-and they’re usually up my a$$ the hour before!
