It’s been almost 2 years of this now and every time I start to lose motivation and lose drive something happens in my life that I channel it into the Mike Hoffman Canadian professional ice hockey player for the San Jose Sharks T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this gym. Well a lot of people don’t hate every second of it, for one. People enjoy it. Once you have been consistent for a couple months you see progress in your strength, or mobility, or speed, or whatever you are training for. You see progress in your body. And you now have a dopamine incentive to continue, not just a logical one. I have worked out regularly since I was 16 years old. I am 46 now and I have a great life in every respect. I have made many good decisions and I am proud of each one but none of those decisions were as beneficial as regular diet and exercise. I cannot stress enough how great it is to be 46 and look 30, how awesome it is to fit into the clothes I wore in college and how great my social life and sex life are. Just do it. And do it properly. It will be boring (it’s not fun) but if you make a lifestyle of it, you will have a better existence than those who do not. You will feel better, you will fuck better, you will think better and you will age better. As long as it is SOMETHING active – riding a bike, climbing, lifting weights, running. There are any number of groups happy to greet new members. A group or trainer helps you get through those first few weeks. The your reason for doing it becomes “it makes my body feel good and makes me feel good about my body” becomes more powerful than your excuses not to

For me, I hate lifting weights and such but I love playing sports. Going to the Mike Hoffman Canadian professional ice hockey player for the San Jose Sharks T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this gym for me means hours of pickup basketball. I’ll never be shredded but at least I’m getting some cardio in! There’s a difference between motivation and discipline. You lack discipline. Motivation will get you to the gym the first time, but saying “even if I don’t see gains now, or in a month, I’m going to do it every day”, that’s the key to success. Because if you only ever take 1 baby step a day, at the end of a year you’ll have traveled 365 steps. They don’t, they keep making themselves do it for the sake of delayed gratification. They hate it, they have no drive for it; but the more you do it, the more it’s habit and discipline and it doesn’t take drive or motivation to do it. Dieting – eating decent food within your budget, to me it’s just business as usual and something I enjoy, rather than being a chore.
