oh bro your life about to get much better. even if your job is stressful and requires a lot of work at least you get paid lol I would say college was a bit more stressful and I had no days off doing a masters, whereas working full time, you’re done at 5 and have the Miami Dolphins Victory Monday Shirt besides I will buy this weekends and also flexibility completing tasks. Me personally I don’t care about the work or the people there, I just wanna do my work, make my money and go home. I don’t even like tech, I plan to leave in a few years. More boring if you always spend your time on the same project or type of work, I find it less rewarding and enjoyable than learning new things in uni Constant stress about continuing to be productive so you can progress in your career, or at least not be fired, even if you lack motivation Sorry, you do not meet the minimum sitewide comment karma requirement of 10 to post a comment. Just depends. My experience with my company has allowed me to build up my skills but I’ve seen a lot of people have the opposite experience. You could have more free time or you could be putting in a lot of time outside of work depending on how quickly you can catch up to your job. Honestly, you won’t really know what to expect from a company until you’re actually working in their codebase, seeing the changes that are being made to that codebase, and seeing the interactions between how your coworkers operate. I learned that the hard way with my current job, as I was given a list of technologies that they were using, but the day-to-day operations of what I work with don’t even consist of half the tools that they listed over to me when I asked them what I should brush up on, as I was transferred in with a different skill set. I’m somewhat thriving, but that’s only because I have absolutely no shame in asking dumb questions or trying to prove that I know more than I actually do.

Especially because you’re new, you will need someone to guide you, if you have a good company they’ll provide you with someone to mentor while working under your codebase. I encourage you to try talking with as many people as you can and picking their brains as much as you can and remove your ego. You will fail and make silly mistakes, just own up to it when you do, learn from it, and move on. Depends…. the Miami Dolphins Victory Monday Shirt besides I will buy this difference between college and the real world is that there’s real consequences, not just bad grades. For example, if I slack on some of my tasks, 700 people don’t get paid and we get sued. If I don’t do another task, we risk losing state funding. So in the big picture, nothing about college is actually do or die.
