Does it matter? There’s far worse practices out there, like shark finning etcetera. Foie gras is pretty cruel to produce. But as long as there’s a market, there’ll be cruelty in cooking. There isn’t a clear and concise line as to where the Metallica We Don’t Give A Shit Minnesota Wild Shirt Additionally,I will love this humane treatment stops and cruelty begins for how we source our food. There’s religious needs in play as well. For example, there’s a practice that involves slitting the throat of an animal and waiting for it to die a slow death. Most people wouldn’t have a problem with that, but boiling them to a slow death is worse, somehow? At the end of the day, we kill animals for food. Some ways are more humane than others, but there’s no line, and drawing one would likely be controversial. So the most people can do is not eat meat they think isn’t ethically sourced. Honestly though, I don’t really care how it’s cooked because I enjoy eating cuisine the chef has spent years learning to make and put a lot of effort into. Cooking is a form of art.

This is why I stopped crabbing and digging out razor clams in the Metallica We Don’t Give A Shit Minnesota Wild Shirt Additionally,I will love this oregon bays/washington beaches. I hate the kitchen bit. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I grew up near the beach and went crabbing frequently. Keepers were cooked and enjoyed—simple as that. I can imagine it can be nerve wracking to someone that didn’t grow up around it, but everyone is different. yeah, this and seeing octopus being eaten alive. The creatures may not be able to talk or build parking lots but they deserve more respect. Yeah I won’t eat lobster bc of this. I ask about the crab. I also won’t eat other animal products that are inhumane like fois gras. Just disgusting. Ok this is unrelated, but i need to challenge this idea I see on Reddit a shit ton. You should not have a right to complain about common ways animals are killed if you are going to continue eating them. In that case, you are one of the very reasons they are killed like this. Most Lobsters and Crabs are numbed and/or killed before boiling, it isnt inhumane, we are killing them to eat them. We do not need to, unless that is actually your only way of getting food, as there are other alternatives, but still, it is the path we have chosen to walk. If the way the animal is killed actually is inhumane, needlessly cruel or just flat out wrong, then obviously fight it. But common things like slaughter houses are the way we have been doing it for a long time, for good reason.
