While to me there are certainly layers to this (it wouldn’t be a problem for my girlfriend to keep some guy friends around, perhaps occasionally grab lunch together or something), I just can’t imagine saying “I’m going to the Metallica Saudi Arabia Riyadh december 14 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this club to get hammered with my girl friend, without you, sorry” and it sounding right in my mind, even if not in those words. I wouldn’t be with someone that this was completely chill and normal to. So my boundary is somewhere in between. While trust is the biggest thing, there are still behaviours that may put unnecessary doubt, that are completely avoidable. My partner putting themselves in potentially tough situations where it’s way more likely than average for their loyalty to be heavily tested, is one of them. I don’t think it’s good for either of us. Being in a relationship means showing each other that we can make some adjustments to our behaviours to help the other person develop trust, and later on not make them unnecessarily worried.

Damn do straight people not trust their partners? If my partner went by this logic, I won’t have any friends to hang out with since I’m bisexual. You can start what you deem appropriate and inappropriate but you do not set boundaries. People only set boundaries for themselves. You communicate what you feel is appropriate and they should ideally meet that if they want to stay in your life. None. I know all his female friends and we adore each other. He’s literally been on a weekend trip with one of them (separate rooms, but honestly I’d have trusted them in a twin), I was just grateful I didn’t have to go to some festival I had zero interest in. It helps that I know exactly what his type is, and none of them are it, but also I trust both him and them. For my own part I know he’s ok with me going out with male friends or colleagues (it’s sometimes unavoidable in the Metallica Saudi Arabia Riyadh december 14 2023 Shirt Apart from…,I will love this latter case anyway, we have business trips). I wouldn’t go on a trip with any of them unless it’s business, not because I don’t trust myself, but because I don’t want to put myself in a situation where I have to explain to someone that they misread the situation. Could be awkward. Don’t think it would happen, but I don’t trust some of them as much as I trust my partners’ female friends. (I have stolen all of them, they are now my friends, too.)
