My dad definitely got it from when he was a kid on a farm (born 1949) and they were definitely poor, or at least not well off. Years later, I told my mother about this aversion. She was quite surprised because she never noticed my dislike of these foods. In a burst of unusual kindness and understanding, she sort of apologized for the Maxx Crosby Signature American football defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders Madd Maxx T-Shirt But I will love this forcing them. These were the years when I was perfecting my everything is all right act. I’ll eat pretty much anything and enjoy it, just never put scallops or canned peas on the table. Kids should not be forced to finish meals either way honestly. It’s very unhealthy and causes the development of a very disordered metabolism makes it hard to fight off obesity later in life. If a kid won’t finish his meal, wrap it up so they can finish it later. No need to waste anything and no need to get mad. Eating a little bit throughout the day, eating small portions, getting full fast and stopping, these are all very healthy things and very natural things and should be encouraged. It is stupid to overfeed your kids. I gave mine about a tablespoon of everything and if they were hungry they’d ask for more.

Seriously we ask the Maxx Crosby Signature American football defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders Madd Maxx T-Shirt But I will love this kids to try stuff, eating something is a choice for you to make and tell them horror stories about their Uncle Ron who destroyed his body by only eating 7-11 hot case and drinking Tampico or Monsters for 5 years. My parents were the opposite. They made us finish our meal bc if we only take two bites and say we’re full, that’s it until the next meal. They took our word for it. They warned us beforehand too so no excuse for us to complain later. They were tired working people so that was the case. My sister and I learned to sit at the table and be present for the whole meal. More parents need to give smaller portions. If the kid eats it and wants more, give him/her more, assuming it’s not going to make the kid a fatty. This is not that difficult of a problem to solve. Seeing the comments describe this as abuse and me having an epiphany as to why I struggle so much with food now…
