With my Kylen Granson American football tight end for the Indianapolis Colts T-Shirt in addition I really love this kids, I ask them what they want. If I can make it into a dinner for all, great. If not, it’s just part of it (ex: mac and cheese). I give them about what I would eat (which is like probably less than half of a “normal” adult serving) and tell them to eat what they can, and they can always have more. TBH, it works better than way cause they don’t feel forced. They feel like they have a choice or at least input on dinner, and I don’t yell or anything. If they don’t finish, that’s fine, or I’d they don’t like I’ll make something else (within reason, like if they’d rather grilled cheese instead of fried chicken). I think there’s a large reason from boomers who grew up with silent generation and war survivors Food was scarce so don’t you dare waste it, and that’s sort of slipped down families who think “it’s fine” its one thing to remind a kid to finish his meal.. a kid sized portion!.. and another to yell at him for hours for not eating an adult size amount.

That never happened to me. My parents decided that if I was hungry, I would eat. And my dad was more than happy to eat leftovers on my plate that I didn’t eat. lol But, now that I have kids, it’s like they won’t eat ANYTHING at meal time. I need them to eat at least something, so I don’t have to deal with “I’m hungry” 20 minutes after dinner. A bunch of people traumatized by the Kylen Granson American football tight end for the Indianapolis Colts T-Shirt in addition I really love this Great Depression forced their kids to eat everything, and those kids didn’t really understand it but they became parents and replicated it because they thought it was “correct parenting” I was forced to eat everything off my plate as a kid, I think it contributed to my eating/weight problems. Now that I have a kid I only make her eat what she can, and once she tells me she’s done that’s it. No forcing.
