Yes, that is very true. But they tend to congregate in a few places where basically everyone speaks English. This was in Mexico City where that is not the Marvel Avengers Chibi Shirt Additionally,I will love this case. She did always complain about the way things are done in Mexico. For example, garbage is picked up most places every day. The garbage man comes down the street ringing a bell and you take your garbage to the corner. You can also ask them to come to your house and they will for a tip. And I am talking about like a US quarter, not anything major. She refused to walk her trash out and also refused to give a tip for some ¨ who is just doing his job ¨ and tried to throw her trash away in a park, got caught and almost got arrested. She was lucky, because if she had been Mexico she WOULD have had to pay a fine. Her favorite thing to say is…..in the US we do THIS……And, it´s mostly USAicans, not Canadians that are like that, in my experience. Europeans tend to be overly prepared, since they are coming from so far away, and far more open minded. Plus, they generally learn basic communication in Spanish. Not all, but again, my experience has been that a good majority do.

Maybe she thought she was being asked for something extra because she was a foreigner? Some people get really salty if they think they’re being ripped off. My father told me a story of travelling in ( iirc) Lebanon on business with a colleague who was so convinced a cab driver was charging them the Marvel Avengers Chibi Shirt Additionally,I will love this tourist rate that he spent like 20 minutes arguing with the guy. Finally the cab driver relented and gave them a rebate. At the hotel my dad asked about local taxi rates and discovered they’d gotten a slightly lower rate than the locals (and also very lucky that the cab driver didn’t take greater offence). No, she knew these things. She had complained to me about it saying NO I am NOT going to give a tip. Also, she was not obviously a foreigner, in the area she lived in she could have easily been Mexican. She had has many things explained to her about how things worked in Mexico, she just refused to accept them. That was like 10 or 12 years ago, and she STILL lives in Mexico and still complains almost as much as she ever did. Airbnb’s got less helpful over time. 10y ago when it all started people were just eager to help out, meet you, and maybe even do something together and hotels were more expensive. Now airbnbs are here to make money, which means limited help or contact (fine by me). So whatever, you are probably not wrong to think like that nowadays.
