As an introvert, I wouldn’t rule out meeting people on your solo trip. The bonds I developed with fellow travelers are indelible, and some of my most cherished memories in all of my travels are shared experiences with folks I still check in on. One of those is a quiet afternoon on an Italian beach. Fellow introverts find each other! But it’s also worth occasionally hanging with a group or an extroverted travel pal. It can feel uncomfortable to push your own boundaries but this is where growth happens, and it’s so often with human connection. I know how you feel, I felt the Martin Necas Czech professional ice hockey centre for the Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirt in other words I will buy this same at 18. I am from a small town on the Martin Necas Czech professional ice hockey centre for the Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirt in other words I will buy this south coast and felt trapped, no horizon, no opportunities, and nothing I could do. I started looking for jobs that would enable me to travel, and after looking at cruise ships or teaching, I ended up on a casino training school. Most towns have one if they have a casino. I also considered hairdressing on a cruise ship but was lousy at cutting hair and gave up after a fortnight of sweeping floors. 18 months later, I moved to Greece for two years and had the time of my life working in the largest Casino in Europe, it also brought me out of my shell a little. A few years later I used the money I had saved to get a TEFL certificate and moved to South Korea, Thailand and China, spending a decade getting paid to have a great experience in foreign cultures. It enriched my life immensely, enabled me to become fluent in three languages and you will make friends for life that even a decade after returning to the UK, will still be like family to you.
