Ohhhhh boy, that is deliberate misclassification, every single meeting regarding where you work and your time is proof regarding this. I’m sorry to say that 3D and VFX artists are generally exploited. I hope that you can find a place that recognizes your contributions and pays appropriately. The last job I left posted my Mark Zuckerberg Vs Elon Musk Send Me Location shirt in other words I will buy this position as a teacher while I was still working there. This was very confusing because there were only two people that had my position and they didn’t know I was looking at other jobs. Turns out, they were getting people to come to interviews by offering a specific, full time teacher position and then offering them sub work instead. They were mystified that no one wanted to sub for them

3D Artist? CEO/Creative Director got the Mark Zuckerberg Vs Elon Musk Send Me Location shirt in other words I will buy this position by nepotism and not with his actual abilities and experience in the field (because if the person had those I’ll admit I can somewhat bypass the familial relationship but that doesn’t seem to be the case here)? This sounds like a place where they grab up hopeful graduates with the big shiny neon signs and use and abuse them to hell and back, ruining any positive outlook on the industry and then replace them with more hopeful graduates. As someone who, eventually but likely has to get personal stuff sorted out, wants to get into the game dev industry … I see the signs of a shit company with horrible practices easily here. If you can’t even use the work you’re doing in a portfolio you’re literally getting nothing for the work you’re doing, get out asap even if it means taking a boring job but if it gives you time to do freelance or work on your portfolio at least you’re working towards something.
