It killed the Marjorie taylor greene and matt gaetz scum and scummer shirt in other words I will buy this tone/style but failed to deliver on substance. If you’re going to create this dark,m dreary world, which I thought they did a good job with, the events should reflect it. Idk, I think a lack of an R rating was holding it back. I feel like this could have been all in like ‘Logan’ this could have been incredible. Reviews comparing it to Seven are totally overblown IMO. The murders lacked weight and the Riddler didn’t seem that crazy. Overall I think I’d give it a 70%. Given it’s 3 hours and not amazing I doubt I’ll ever watch it again. That being said I liked Robert Pattinson and I hope they make another. Edit: the car chase scene was also great Tldr: didn’t like the movie 🙁 really wanted to…. but couldn’t get into it.

The score- does a really good job of setting tone for the Marjorie taylor greene and matt gaetz scum and scummer shirt in other words I will buy this movie Bat and Cat dynamic – Feels like the slimmest of lines separates the two from being a by any means and a “I don’t kill” type of hero. Love how they work well together but there’s also a bit of conflict infused into the relationship. Cinematography – it was a well shot film that really stuck to harsh light and played with shadow Car chase – that shot of him getting out to go to penguins over turned vehicle was well done Batman – the alow pacing footsteps and menace to his entrance from the dark for a lot of his scenes was pretty enthralling. Alfred Bruce dynamic – We aren’t shown much between them but what we are shown doesn’t really hint at a great relationship. Honestly, the only thing we see Alfred do is scold Bruce about legacy and lie to him about his father. Really took away from what was supposed to be a heart wrenching scene in the hospital after Alfred tears through a package for Bruce (invasive much????) I couldn’t but into that scene at all. Felt like people acting because I couldn’t feel that they actually cared for each other. Pattinson Bruce Wayne – didn’t really do the whole 3 characters. Kinda just played batman the whole time. You can make an argument that it’s before he has a handle on the whole alter ego thing.but idk. Lanky brooding billionare stalking a funeral and glowering at people is not what I picture when I picture Bruce Wayne. Riddler – he’s a great villain but the window we get into his motivations is just plain old bad. We aren’t shown why he is the way he is. He literally just tells us in a screech that he was neglected by society and austricised. I dont see any of this. I like what the character did. It was engaging and smart and well planned. I dont like who the character is. A guy who gives us all his character exposition via dialouge without showing us anything. The whole “I know The real you” thing also seems like a plot device more than anything else. Like. It gave me some real actual tension. But holy shit, how convenient that these things happen to line up like this so the dude can dangle batman’s name in front of him without actually knowing he’s Bruce. And if he does know he’s bruce…how…..? Leaving that unanswered is poor form. Especially because it would be a great way to show how capable the villian is and establish him as a huuuuuge threat moving forward.
