Do you use powder? My makeup always looks like this when i use it. I switched to setting spray & blotting as needed and it’s been much better. Try different things and see if this still happens, or try omitting steps from your routine to see if you can figure out what the problem is I had the exact same issue, exfoliated, moisturized and everything. Lemme know if it works 🙂 Primer never agreed with me so I just skip it and go for skincare that works with my makeup – especially sunscreen since that one can be a bit finicky. Better if you also have a concealer that matches with your foundation and primer. Also make sure that you aren’t using the wrong products together. For an example, let’s say you were using a primer that is meant for matte makeup but then you use the E.L.F. Halo Glow foundation, that will def make it cakey. Use matte products for matte makeup and use dewy makeup products for dewy makeup and try not to cross them over. Setting spray is also insanely helpful! I would highly recommend spraying between layers of makeup. Primer, spray, foundation, spray, concealer, spray, and so on. It helps a lot. Also make sure you’re using a setting spray that matches with what kind of makeup you’re doing. My mom was having the same problem. She did most of these and her makeup looks a lot better. The only time I have separation problems now is with liquid foundation. I started double cleansing with oil and traditional cleanser (fragrance free) at night and that helped clear my breakouts. I had the latter happen to me, and it turned out to be a skin condition (that wasn’t dry skin) Dermalogica microfoliant. It gets all those little skin flakes off. I use other chemical exfoliation too but when I have a ton of little flakes like this I need microfoliant. My nose is the one place on my face that neverrr looked good! It was also covering my natural freckles that I’d draw back on. The rest of my face makeup would be great all day so I just stopped putting anything on my nose! I use a little bit of a glowy primer or a highlight just so it doesn’t look out of place if i have on a full face. Give it a try one day !

I found exfoliating helped a lot on the nose, and when I use foundation or concealer I leave my nose and mouth area til last and just use the leftover from my sponge for those areas rather than a proper layer, so using less product helps so it doesn’t cling to anything there If you’re feeling a lil experimental you could also try dermaplaning Moisturize early in the morning, go do something else and forget about it. That’ll give it plenty of time to soak into your skin. I also spritz my beauty blender with a setting spray, dab a layer of that over my face first, let it sit for a minute, and THEN apply foundation. This keeps everything in place and I haven’t had any separation issues since I’ve been doing this. I swear by it.

Or if your beauty blender is too damp too tbh same thing happened to me then I stopped putting primer on that area & it didn’t happen! I have combination skin I have oily skin too. (I’m not willing to splurge to get more expensive foundation that I’ve heard would work wonders for my age/skin.) I like BB/CC creams because they offer some coverage but don’t cake up. At least from what I can see of your face, you have nice skin. Maybe you don’t need a foundation and a BB/CC cream would work nicely too!
Make sure u scrub ur skin gently i use exfoliating gloves during shower and after i apply Vitamin C and a moisturiser do this for a couple days and you’ll see a difference, also use primer before makeup and it should improve I’ve had similar issues – I don’t use primer. After moisturizing/sunscreen I apply my foundation with a wet beauty blender. Then use a face mist/spray set. Then finish up the Marcelo Mayer Boston Red Sox MLB baseball catch shirt but in fact I love this rest of my makeup – NO powder. Raw dog it. Then one last blast with setting mist. I never use primer anymore. Only moisturizer. You still need something a little tacky. Elf moisturizer works great for me personally. Are you using e.l.f. Halo Glow as if it’s a foundation? You need to exfoliate!!!
