He offered to interview me for an assistant position at a fraction of the salary and I politely declined. It really discouraged me until I realized that they had seen my CV. Our expectations for the role were obviously aligned based on that fact alone. They called me based off of that information and then didn’t collect anything new in our conversation to change their mind about my capabilities. It just didn’t exist. When I declined the position, he asked why and I said the salary range. It’s half of what I’m looking for, and on top of that it would be a step back in terms of career growth. He said I could make that up with my yearly discretionary bonus. I’ve never heard of a 100% bonus in my life bro get out of here.
