I mean it’s decent I guess. But why so hyped and overpriced. I can get much better mangoes for one third the Man I Love Fred MILF Shirt and by the same token and price. Exactly!! This is what me and my friend was talking about yesterday. We ordered a box of Alphonso mangoes and they were meh….what’s the big fuzz about these mangoes, they don’t taste that good… For all Maldah/Langda lovers in Bangalore, visit the HAL Fruit Market. And if you reach there do try the Luuchi Subzi in the lane next to the bird shop. This guy also has some forgotten things we used to enjoy eating during our childhood days, especially the folks from West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Even with that most of the top quality Alphonso are only exported and the one which we get in market have a significant dip in the quality

I am from Bijapur and the Man I Love Fred MILF Shirt and by the same token and only mango I always ate were the Alphonso, we call it Hapus actually. I have tasted other mangoes but Alphonso has this distinctive taste which is not that sweet or something. There are other mangoes which are so damn sweet . Hapus has distinctive taste which i love. Nowadays the quality of Hapus is diminishing. If you want the best tasting Alphonso, buy Devgad Alphonso from Natures basket. I don’t mind paying more to Hapus mangoes once a year, just to feel the sunshine on my tastebuds. I think it’s the the process of artificially ripening it that ruins the taste. My all time favourite is langra or maldah but my god I hated it here Benus/Baiganapalli and sendoora. Always around 60-80rs. Just find a good vendor since sendoora will be sour if not picked right. I think because it has an overall good profile when it comes to flavour, aroma, juiciness, texture, colour, etc. There are other mangoes that are sweeter (Imam pasand or Totapuri for eg), there are bigger mangoes, but IMO there is no other variety that scores well to high an ALL the aforementioned qualities. But this is subjective so to each their own.
