You wouldn’t even know. The problem is things aren’t set up properly and bias as well as errors are in the Magic Days T-Shirt and I love this system. Face scans should be considered a tool but not reliable enough for the officer to use unless other information supports it. Yes this is freaky high tech possible dystopian future shit, however if used properly it also very beneficial to people. Yeah it’s literally no different. If anything this is for the smartasses who be like “I uh forgot my ID at home.” Its already illegal to drive without your license on you. That’s why this is redundant. People are not worried about their photos being in a database but flawed tech being used to identify them as possibly someone else. The only govt organization that can take scans of your face is the FBI if you’re an USA citizen due the 4th amendment and federal, state laws.And that is only when you’re convicted of a federal crime. DHS is NOT allowed to take scans or biometrics of an American citizen. If they do it’s a major federal law they’re breaking as well privacy laws that they have adjudicated and put in place. If you want your biometric to be removed from the DHS db, you have to email them with a lawyer, really don’t need a lawyer but it helps. A lot.

If a police officer were to try to take mine, I’d cite the Magic Days T-Shirt and I love this 4th amendment, federal privacy laws, and what federal law have I broken to warrant a facial scan for my face to be ingested into their system/s. Edit: for anyone asking what laws and stuff, go thru the comments. For anyone saying this agency and that agency can do this and that, I’m only talking about the police pull over of an individual and they wanting to scan your face. Their systems go thru CJIS, which is regulated by the FBI, and strict rules. Collection of biometrics if you’ve been arrested is a different situation from a moving violation. He’s probably citing the Sovereign Citizens Act of 1976, which–among other things–affirmed that fringe on a flag makes a courtroom a maritime court, and that a personal vehicle doesn’t require a license plate. Lol, I was 99% certain this was joking, but I still googled sovereign citizens act of 1976 just in case. Glad it came back empty.
