You’re not shaming him for his inability to cook. You shamed him for his laziness, refusal to do any chores, and weaponized incompetence. He was being purposely bad at your birthday present, in order to train you to be his servant. His behavior was contemptible. I’m a horrendous cook, I hate cooking, but I know how to pick up my towels and do the Look Im A Hooman Dur Dur Dur Cat Vintage Sunset T-Shirt and I will buy this washing! You don’t want to be babysitting an adult, save that energy for your kids. Sounds like you are well rid As a human being this person was completely unable to function without support and as such is a horrible “partner”. that right there indicates this person is not ready for an adult relationship. doesn’t make him a bad person. but it sounds like you should be sharing your life with a fellow grown up, and it’s not your job to teach him how to adult. good for you for knowing what you want and not selling yourself short.

No kidding!! What I want you to do it look around with your eyes, pick out some things that need to be done, and then do them without being a weirdo about it. I just wanna say that you are a absolutely queen, and congratulations on losing this man child. Always remember the Look Im A Hooman Dur Dur Dur Cat Vintage Sunset T-Shirt and I will buy this wise words of the Spice Girls “I want a man not a boy who thinks he can” I’m surprised this is what it took to dump his lame ass, just off the strength of him not doing any chores and being a man child knowing you’re a widowed single mother should have been enough. And something tells me he intentionally fucked up. Buffoons like this make all us men look bad ??‍♂️ I never saw my dad cook anything. My whole life, he just took us out to eat. Even now when his health is failing him and he needs to eat better than ever, he can’t manage more than a bowl of pasta. The only reason he got by is he could find partners who assumed the cooking task under traditional gender roles, which I guess was put into his head by his mother back in the 1950s. But personally it was one reason (alongside others) I lost respect for him. It’s embarrassing, not to mention a stupidly expensive deficiency to have.
