I feel like I watched a different movie from everyone else? It just felt like a poor imitation of Prisoners or Zodiac tone wise and the Look at me 2b nier automata shirt but in fact I love this story was all over the place Lots to love with this movie while also acknowledging it was super long and poorly paced. It couldn’t decided whether to be a Riddler story or a Mobster story. Spent way too much time on Carmine Falcone, and for a good 40 minutes completely forgot about the Riddler. Loved the Batman detective stuff with Gordon, loved that Batman basically inspired the Riddler, but hated that it devolves into a generic villain wanting to blow up Gotham plot. Really should’ve just kept it focused on the Riddler and Batman trying to stop him. Cut about 40 minutes of the movie at least. By the time it got to the Batman/Riddler showdown, I was kind of exhausted and couldn’t really pay attention to Riddler’s rambling. Riddler’s final plan was such a let down. This movie didn’t need to have the city ending apocalypse finale. It felt so out of place

Agreed. He floods the Look at me 2b nier automata shirt but in fact I love this city, killing more poor people than rich people in condos and mansions? He reveals that Bruce Wayne’s father…asked a crime boss to scare another reporter(that was in ANOTHER crime boss’ pocket) from revealing damaging info on his wife? That’s…it? The opening with the riddler spying on the mayor and then later on when Bruce is spying on Selina establishes how The Batman and The Riddler are so similar in their voyeuristic/ espionage methods, predators spying on their prey i also loved that the riddler has his crazy serial killer journal, but batman also has his crazy vengeance journal, great dichotomy. The absolute madlad Reeves made Batman a more hopeful figure than Superman in BvS.
