Same. I also do a deep clean with my cleaner when I stay once a month. That’s when we will do everything from touch up paint and scrubbing of shower doors etc. I stay in mine a few times a year. It’s a vacation rental in an awesome location which is why I bought the Lift Up Your Spirit And Love God St Padre Pio Prayer Cross Catholics Holy Saints T-Shirt In addition,I will do this house. I change things that don’t work. Yes! I spend a week per year on vacation in my Airbnb. After the first time, I installed air con, changed the shower, changed the bedding, pillows, bought several new small appliances, extra mugs, bowls, added cushions, blankets. I would 100% recommend all hosts do the same. Yes! I agree this is important. Before launching our property, we spent a month there just to test drive it, learn any little nuances, fix any issues, make sure the mattresses were comfortable, etc. We’re now pretty booked up for the summer but when we get a break between guests, I plan to stay there to do the same thing again.

Granted, I only have one airbnb. And my main place of residence is a small apartment rental vs. a nice, spacious 4br house so there’s a built-in incentive to spend time there, as well ha. I like that you pointed out learning little nuances. You can predict questions your guests will have and know how to be proactive or walk guests through any questions during their stay. Yes exactly! For example I learned that the Lift Up Your Spirit And Love God St Padre Pio Prayer Cross Catholics Holy Saints T-Shirt In addition,I will do this bedroom light switches/electrical is not that intuitive. Now I know if a guest tells me an outlet isn’t working or a lamp isn’t turning on, it’s because of that! Going forward, we will only stay at Airbnbs that are managed by the homeowner that is either on site or is renting out their second home for this very reason. You can tell the difference between someone’s vacation home vs. an investment property managed by a big company.
