I agree. They should definitely find out who made the Life is better with The Temptations music shirt moreover I will buy this decision to send this home. If it was the teacher get your child out of this class. This is toxic behavior and the last thing I would want is for my child to have someone who supports this as a punishment for something that an 8 year old has no control over. What type of year would a child have with a teacher who would send this home? I had a very toxic 3rd grade teacher. I still think about some of the shitty things the teacher would say to us. This reminds me of my 4th grade teachers punishment for forgetting a homework assignment: go take the dictionary to the back of the room, look up the word forget and copy the definition 10 times onto a piece of paper. Speaking of which, hey Mr. Alfieri, fuck you.

This is definitely uncalled for. One missed day of school doesn’t warrant punishment, in my opinion. There could be several reasons why someone may miss their first day of school. The best course of action right now is to talk to the Life is better with The Temptations music shirt moreover I will buy this teacher about the assignment, explain the reason for the absence, so your child won’t be labeled as a truant student for the rest of the school year, and to ensure that he receives the help he needs in class. I dunno…I would duplicate this sheet type out three extra words under each column “FUCK”, “YOU”, “BITCH” and ask the teacher about those extra ones. I am a teacher and I am appalled at whoever gave this paper to your child and so incredibly sad for him that he had to deal with that. Shame on that teacher. I would complain!! Some schools will lose the entire year’s worth of funding for a student if the miss 5 days in the year, even if excused. Many laws in this country were put in place to gut funding to public schools.
