Like, imagine sitting in a foster home because your parents are either dead because of health complications like cancer or are addicted to drugs and abused you until you were taken away. But YOU don’t because your parent didn’t die the right way. That shit hurt so bad as a kid. Like, he didn’t have to do this at all. And he’s great for going out of his way to do it. I shit you not I have jammed with Gary on numerous occasions playing Bass for the Lt Dan Band. I am a veteran and saw them play in Hawaii when I was stationed there and literally yelled out in a small venue “Can I be your bassist?”. He invited me on stage and asked me if I knew what I was doing and his bass player handed me his bass and sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. He is the nicest dude you’ll ever meet and does so much for veterans and legitimately cares about helping them.
