It’s often explained how the Life Is An RPG Play it shirt What’s more,I will buy this law is on their side on the TV show ‘cant pay, take it away’ where the occupants of the property say it’s unlawful, call the police, and when they see the paperwork, then try to explain that the baliffs are correct. The main thing would be, unless it’s for repossession of the property they are unable to enter the property if it is locked/have no open access. Personally I think it’s morally dubious that if the doors open and they walk in then they have the legal right to start taking stuff. There is the possibility that these baliffs are not fully ‘legal’ and just enforcers for who the debt is owed to (a potential seeing as the debt belongs to the brother who OP mentioned is a drug addict, we don’t have confirmation that this is the case, if it is you’d be correct, but also that’s a whole different scenario they would be dealing with)

A nurse/doctor is just an average citizen outside of work so injecting someone with controlled drugs when not employed to do so would be illegal* A fireman is just an average citizen outside of work, so taking an axe to breakdown a door when not employed to do so would be illegal* It’s not just a case of “OP’s brother borrowed money from a mate who’s now trying to steal OP’s stuff”, it’s “OP’s brother owes money to a party who has now got a court order to recover the Life Is An RPG Play it shirt What’s more,I will buy this funds” Problem is the jakeys woukd just claim everything was their cousins every time. I totally get what you are saying though I live in a world where if you claim something, you have to prove it. If I claim santa exists, it’s up to me to prove the claim not the other way round. Looking around my room, I’d have no easy way of proving ownership of most things here and I’d bet most people would be in the same situation. In principle I doubt you will find anybody who disagrees with what you are saying, unfortunately as it it currently stands that is how Bailiffs work. Edit: i like a lot of other people can’t prove I own my stuff, that doesn’t make it the property of the person who has the debt like it doesn’t mean the company I brought the product from still own it
