Sounds like the Lewis Hamilton 2013 2024 thank you for the memories signatures shirt in other words I will buy this doctors created an environment of fear and nurses were afraid to call them. Nurses have to toughen up and not care what the doctor thinks, but so many times when we call a doctor they get mad, even if it’s potentially life threatening. Some hospitals are such a toxic work environment. Yeah, I’ve had more than one interaction where I paged a doctor a concern or just wanted to double check something with them in order to follow policy, and they shot back a rude or condescending page making me feel stupid for messaging them. I’ve also had multiple doctors just ignore my pages because they were within a half hour of their own shift ending. It is a nurse’s job to advocate for patients, including to doctors, but I can imagine many hospitals have this bad dynamic between staff.

It definitely seems to be the Lewis Hamilton 2013 2024 thank you for the memories signatures shirt in other words I will buy this same one indeed. The article and the one linked from that one give a lot of further information on the story from OP. Not that they could’ve known the severity of the situation but if the nurses aren’t helping you gotta start walking around and find that doctor or something. Can’t be letting people die because some nurse is scared to get reprimanded for almost killing someone. Gotta be better advocates for our loved ones who are patients since they demonstrate over and over they’ll just let us die. I’m lucky to work in labor and delivery where our maternal death rate is quite low. I was a travel nurse for 11 years so I’ve worked at least 18 different hospitals all over the US, and I definitely can’t say that about other places I’ve been.
