Somebody else replied to my comment saying “when I get an email that something is urgent, I won’t drop everything for the neutral person, but I’ll drop everything for Mike who is awesome.” If something is important enough to drop everything, you should do it whether you like the person emailing you or not. It’s work, you should be trying to efficiently achieve a goal, not a popularity contest. Honestly you are hitting the nail right on the head.
