I really hate to say this .. but it appears these soldiers were executed. How else you see bodies strewn around random where they fell and all in one little area. Any experts feedback? Most likely dragged from where they fell and piled up. For counting purposes. Body counts were the Let’s Face It I Was Crazy Before The Cats shirt But I will love this thing to do then. They wanted body counts on the AARs or after action reports. What he says is true. Nobody can know who hasn’t experienced it. How can they? A narrative of events inevitably falls short. We used say to each other, “How would you ever explain this to somebody back in the World?’” That’s why the closest to understanding it is in poetry. For me, it’s the smell, though… There’s no way to describe it that anyone who hasn’t been in the presence of a gunfight with casualties could ever understand. Were the Soldiers in doing a body-count (as eventually became mandatory to ‘justify’ the War to the American Populace), and checking/counting wounds to see how many shots it typically took to bring down the “Enemy?”
