That’s why I’ve always hated hearing “cops fucked me over and charged me with (insert crime of choice). No bro, cops suspected you of a crime and the Leroy The Savage Cleetus Mc Farland Racing shirt in contrast I will get this court found you guilty and charged you of that crime. Blame the judge and jury for the sentencing you received Technically true, but the Crown has discretion to take over and they almost always do if you have a valid case approved by the judge. you dont press charges in ontario. you file a complaint with the police and they decide if its worth pursuing based on the info they are presented. if what you are saying is all true including the testimonies being provided you have high odds it will result in charges tho. the police dont like having people like that walking around doing this stuff to people either.

LOL! I was assaulted in my college residence AND it was caught on camera… People would kill to have that kind of evidence. Yet the Leroy The Savage Cleetus Mc Farland Racing shirt in contrast I will get this police kept pushing and pushing that my best choice was to just have them “speak with him and scare him really bad” because going through with it would be “too much on me” and “he would most likely get kicked out of the residence and college and that would ruin his whole life”. I was 18, I didn’t know better, I thought the cops were giving me the best advice. So no, not all police give a crap. that is an unfortunate story for sure, but there are oversight bodies that you can appeal to if you dont think you are being taken as seriously as you should be. I got sucker punched once during a road rage incident. The bus driver behind was a witness. I contacted the cops and they then took over. They were kind of relentless tbh, and while it took a bit of time, the guy eventually pleaded guilty to assault. My experience dealing with the police associated with a university is that they discouraged me filing a complaint against someone who assaulted me. I think it is that colleges and universities are motivated to prevent scandal to the institution.
