“competent management” yeah this is the Lacrosse Stars Are Born In September stars T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this problem. I mean sure in theory it can be what you’re laying out there, but greedy people tend to not be competent for anything other than their wealth accumulation. And this is what we deal with more often than not. That’s definitely true, it’s unfortunate. But long term share buybacks can be amazing, really. Eventually businesses hit the mature stage of the business life cycle, they can’t put any new money back to work at rates above market return, they either give the money to owners in the form of a dividend, retain earnings and invest them on owners behalf in marketable securities or a debt instrument or repurchase shares. People really underestimate how much value is destroyed when big companies take cash and try to start a new line of business outside of their core operations or buying another business which they usually overpay for and synergies always being overstated. Buybacks are all contextual, they are not all evil and ripping off shareholders. Some have been terrific, Warren Buffett has written about this in depth and obviously has made a fortune from them.

It sounds dumb, but thousands of staplers can add up when you can just put one by the Lacrosse Stars Are Born In September stars T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this printer for the 10 people that need it every day. It’s a paperless world these days. It’s like asking why Google isn’t providing horse poo shovels for commuters. And share buybacks benefit anyone who owns stock in the company, which I’d assume includes the majority of Google employees. The problem in the US is that shareholders can sue their companies if the CEO and his/her goons aren’t doing anything and everything to guarantee maximum profit. This single loophole is the source of much of the corporate evil that takes place. Just getting rid of this one thing will make things soooo much better. It’s free money to these people. It worked for the Teachers, right? Have em buy their own shit for the privilege of working for your company so you can lay them off the second you don’t meet unsustainable growth metrics. I can’t see I feel much remorse – while Americans and everyone else makes lines around the block to work for these companies, they’re going to continue this shit. Things have to get a LOT worse before those morons wake the fuck up and realize they coulda stopped this much earlier. This is what happens in capitalism when your company is out of ideas for growth. You implement austerity to prop up the stock price, and that austerity rots the company from the inside. It’s to be expected when any corporation decides to go public and become beholden to shareholders. As someone who works in a lab, staples are how my coworkers and I prove the test results are true. Yes paperwork might seem outdated, but from a quality point of view it proves the test was actually done and the results the person reporting them are true.
