It does hurt a tiny bit. I’m a regular blood-donor and still don’t like the Kyle Busch Racing Team Car American professional stock car racing T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this moment the needle enters but it really only hurts for a few seconds at most. Way less painful than biting your tongue or stubbing your toe. I think people are afraid of it (myself included) because you’re not used to it, but it really isn’t something to be scared of. They hurt but not badly, they certainly hurt less than whatever you’re testing for being undiagnosed and untreated If the needle hurts, even a little bit, on the way in, it means you’ve got 6 months to live. My experience is that if you relax and if it’s done by a skilled person, it will barely hurt. It helps to not be dehydrated. Less pain than a bee sting but sometimes people can feel dizzy during blood being drawn. I get dizzy/nauseas/sweaty, and it’s very inconvenient. Just make sure to stay seated until you feel normal again if this happens. I used to think as a kid that it hurt a lot, but it was actually me panicking and telling myself that it hurts that made it hurt. I had that “huh” moment when I was 9, and realised it actually really does not hurt – and since then, no problem.
