The raising of the Kiss Me I’m A Horse Girl Or Irish Or Drunk Or Whatever Shirt and I will buy this stakes didn’t work for me, either. We go from targeted kills of corrupt political figures to… several car bombs that are perfectly timed to blow up the seawall on election night, flooding the city and forcing the mayor-elect into an enclosed space where she’ll be sniped by a Riddler army?! I mean, what? Alot of theese top comments seem fake. And written by the same person. This could have been a great movie if they kept the scope small. The scope was a decent size with corruption at the top levels of Gotham. It had an incredible start to a solid middle and then it lost the plot after we are relieved that Riddler doesn’t know Batman’s true identity. Things I enjoyed: Batman’s gear making him sound heavy. These are the best sounding punches of any Batman movie I’ve seen. You can ‘feel’ the weight of the punches and you know he’s bruising them.

Riddler seemed to only harm the Kiss Me I’m A Horse Girl Or Irish Or Drunk Or Whatever Shirt and I will buy this corrupt in Gotham and all of a sudden the movie takes a wild left turn into him wanting to flood the entire city. How many times have we seen this plot already? Then there’s a complete tonal shift with Batman rescuing people from disaster. This is something Batman would definitely do, but it seems very different from the rest of the movie. There’s talk about movie realism here, but a guy flopping like a rag doll after he hits a bridge and then hits the side of a truck and then hits the street hard should not be alive. I know this is a fantasy movie but that moment completely took me out of the movie for a little while as did Batman even being conscious after taking a shotgun at point blank range even with body armor. The guy shouldn’t stand. I dislike movies where a 120 lb woman beats a 250 lb man without breaking a sweat and this is just as bad. Either Batman is a superhero which means he brushes off any injury OR he is a rich guy LARPING who gets wrecked by something like that. I found the catwoman role forgettable. Consider that if catwoman is not in the story, the story still progresses forward because riddler would have told batman about the rat anyway. I blame it on poor writing. Also, that long motorcycle scene was a goofy way to illustrate a point.
