I guess those HR managers are living in the Kacey musgraves American country singer Grammy Awards T-Shirt in contrast I will get this past when making a contribution was a thing. Most people today seem to just need to make as much money as they can because pay is so low. The capitalist mentality of paying everyone as little as possible has forced everyone to look out for themselves first. But, when everyone is only out for themselves, then no one is out for everyone. I don’t want this job. I don’t want any job as there’s loads of stuff I’d rather fill my days with. But like everyone else I need to eat and pay my bills and for that I need money. This job appears to be less shit and/or pays more money than the job I’m doing now. I want more money it’s just code for I’m a selfish person. Traditionally that question is looking to see what your career path goals are and literally why you left your last company (not looking for an answer that concerns low pay) one way to get that across is to say you wanted more responsibility or opportunity! The reason I work is money. The reason I want to work this specific job is not. If you can’t tell me why you want to work in this company in this role outside of “money” I’m not going to hire you.

That’s a pretty ignorant answer. Do you know how many people do volunteer work and charity work? Some people work long after they could have retired because they actually enjoy what they do, and like simply being a functional member of society. Lol, ignorant answer? Where is your reading comprehension, buddy? Who said anything about “money, and nothing else”? It could be in your delivery. I’m never shy about wanting money. They want to know that you want the Kacey musgraves American country singer Grammy Awards T-Shirt in contrast I will get this job itself. They want to know that you won’t disappear in a week, a month, or a year if something that pays even slightly more comes along. Hiring an employee is an investment, and it takes time for that investment to pay off. Obviously you want money, but you need to demonstrate that it’s not your sole motivation, and that you’re not going to job hop before their investment pays off. It really depends on the field and position. I’m in the nonprofit sector, and if someone has a personal connection to the cause, they have a much better chance of getting hired. Think of the question as a way to demonstrate a bit of personality and make yourself stand apart.
