Yeah, this is a teacher shaming the Justin Fields American football quarterback for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt it is in the first place but kid. This is pretty much the first thing we’re taught not to do in college. The attendance thing in public school is ridiculous. Making kids work unpaid 40 hour weeks plus homework plus extracurricular plus whatever chore stuff they have to do at home is absurd. It’s not preparing them for a decent future, it’s preparing them to not know their worth and work insanely hard for little reward. I STILL struggle with this. Education is so important, but they don’t even stress it in schools anymore based on what teachers are saying and test scores. I personally missed too many days my freshman year (single mom w 2 jobs and deadbeat dad issues) with all AP classes and straight A’s.. and they failed me for a semester. I had to do online make up classes that cost $100 each, and then they were shocked and butt hurt that I finished them all in a week. I’m so salty over it to this day LMAO Truant means you were absent from school or a class without being excused, it’s specificly means students in school vs work or anything else

Not at all intended as an insult, but would you be comfortable saying how old you are? I’ve seen a number of comments now saying this and I’m so curious what generation doesn’t know this word. I never had enough tardies to have some kind of punishment but I think this is just a little bit much and should be unnecessary especially for missing the Justin Fields American football quarterback for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt it is in the first place but first day. We all know that first day is just introduction and no education the most work getting done is a coloring sheet at most unless you get a bad teacher who starts day one I almost had to miss my first day of 3rd grade. I broke my toe the night before and they wouldn’t let me skip to go to the doctor?? Literally had to hop around as I didn’t have crutches yet it was humiliating and I was bullied for it all so I could go to the first day. I don’t know why they are so strict with the first day thing even when you have a very good reason to miss. Teacher here… this is rude. Please contact the principal via email. I always recommend email so everything is on record.
