Dude, my first thought. Yeah it’s kinda shitty, but also seems like something the Darnell Mooney American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this whole class received. Seems like an old school teacher based on the font/worksheet. I don’t know if you’re joking, but truant is being absent without reason. It usually means you’ve skipped school without a parent calling in, or you ditched a certain class. Maybe it’s not used anymore? It is still widely used, mostly in larger areas where absenteeism can affect school funding. Funding is distributed based on attendance numbers and rates, number of days, etc. This basis has to do with the number of school days, snow days, make-up days for bad weather, even the number of hours per school day and why schools let out early on certain days rather than have the entire day scheduled off – after so many hours it counts as a full day even with early dismissal. I’m in the minority cause I just thought it was funny then got to the comments and everyone is losing their shit

Id definitely be scheduling an appointment with the Darnell Mooney American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears NFL T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this principal over this shit. Who the fuck does this person think they are? As a parent I would put together my own word search and return to the teacher to do with words like, unqualified, diploma mill, sociopath, bully, overpaid, and such. This is a shaming activity, plain and simple. The only person who should feel ashamed is the person who sent this home. I mean, not knowing the teacher, hard to know how to take it. But if one of my kids’ teachers sent that home I’d think it was funny. But seeing the age of the child etc. yeah maybe a bit weird. Don’t know. I think it was a random thing they put in the backpack. I can’t imagine a teacher putting this much thought into it unless lots of kids are missing class and she made a one-size-fits-all worksheet. Helluva random thing to put in a backpack. I mean, perry the platypus would be random, this is straight up not okay. Teachers are way underpaid, they spend time at home grading papers, and they are distracted. So I just don’t know (without knowing the teacher) what the thought process is. I’d talk to the teacher. Shaming children is so damaging in so many ways. I’d even take it up with the principle to be honest. That’s just wrong.
