Ik he got in some trouble but bc of the ruling he escaped a much worse punishment. I was at the bank branch’s ATM, and didn’t want to get into trouble, so I went in and informed the bank teller. They talked to the manager and did something at some point to reverse that deposit, and I never heard anything more about it. Turned himself in, what an idiot. the bank is the biggest rip off scam in the history of mankind. stealing from them is virtuous.

Like whats prison going to fix I remember hearing hacking stories of how to get into a vending machine and dump the quarters. I feel like this guy not only figured it out, but grew up and hones his abilities. The banks already parasitize off of the poor and less fortunate with their fees and fines. The vast majority of their profits come from the bottom 20% of baking individuals. And even small banks make billions in profits every year. It all flows to the Parasite Class, impoverishing the Average Joe. I would have lost absolutely no sleep over doing something like this. $1.6 million is a rounding error on their profit margins. It doesn’t even qualify as being large enough to be noticed on any financial statement. If only he put that extra money into an interest-bearing account (at another financial institution) he could have made actual money he could keep whenever they eventually shut him down and took it all back. I’m not going to read the whole article because I’m a smooth-brained monkey, but did he get blamed for this? Because if a bank is stupid enough to not catch this glitch, then he would not get sued for using it, correct? Isn’t this all on the ATM company? My friend had a weird glitch happen where every time he withdrew cash from the atm that same amount of money would then go onto his account instead of out of. So if he got $300 cash out $300 would then be deposited into his account so basically just made $600 appear out of thin air.
