I’m surprised this is the Just A Girl Who Loves Siamese Cats Flower Shirt moreover I will buy this first comment I read that’s from her point of view. Everyone goes through something, even though it’s not detectable. Thanks for writing your reply so beautifully! You say that she is your coworker, but do you have the same job title? You mentioned that she has a team of juniors, but are you also leading a team? Yeah we have the same titles and we aren’t in any leadership role. She is not the official team lead but the juniors work alongside her. LOL at the forever alone losers focusing on her being pretty as the reason for her success rather than the amazing people skills, friendliness, and being a nice person to be around. It would never be said about a man in the office even if he were a 10/10. “He has amazing people skills, is handsome, is really friendly and overall a nice person to be around.” LMFAO at the just world fallacy losers who can’t accept that attractiveness (for any gender) can play a big role in how people are perceived. Now, I do agree in this particular case, OP seems to have social issues and the colleague seems to have more leadership or at least people skills. That doesn’t change the fact that ‘pretty privilege’ (again for all genders) is very real. They’re not wrong. I can acknowledge that being moderately attractive has put me ahead in several situations. I’ve seen it happen. My soft skills aren’t even that great, but I’m often treated as though they’re better than they are – especially when I’m good shape. I got kinda fat for a couple years and it was extremely noticeable that people treated me differently.

Get over your jealousy. Repeated jealousy is what makes you bitter. You are in the Just A Girl Who Loves Siamese Cats Flower Shirt moreover I will buy this same company and essentially the same team. Lol. Do you think this will work poorly for her? My prediction is that she gets promoted and throws off the old stuff onto a new person. Then the new person can’t complain because they will look like a “ poor team player”. In terms of how you survive, you just keep doing what you are doing. I don’t hear any risk of you losing your job. On the other hand, if what you are jealous of is her superior chances for career advancement, then you’re going to need to engage in some self improvement. As you tell the story, you are an adequate technical contributor with the networking skills of a house plant. At least one of those things needs to change — either you need to become an exceptional technical contributor, or you need to acquire average networking skills.
