Why are you moving into a ghost town? If they are occupied, obviously, then whatever pay you are negotiating should put you in the house you want. If it doesn’t, tell them to fuck off and also tell them to look around at the cost of living as well. I’d ask “WTF is wrong with you? Are you clueless about the cost of living or are you just fucking with me?!” Next, look at the vehicles in the parking lot of the businesses you visit. Now, with that in mind, you say to yourself, “I too should be able to get on of those if I work here”. So, go to the local dealership and price them. If you can’t get the house and car you want, then tell them, and if they can’t satisfy that common need, tell them to fuck off. (And I don’t mean leasing a car, who the fuck does that nonsense, I mean buying a car and paying it off in 48 month, not a month longer. A car is a tool, not a residence, 48 months is the absolute longest you should need to pay it off, 36 is better.) We need everyone, all working class people to get their fucking heads on straight and come to an agreement on some sensible things now.
