I’m ready to make a change. I don’t want this complacency, boredom, and self doubt for myself anymore. Even more than an increased TC, I want to feel like I’m great at what I do. I’d like to hear from anyone who has experience with or advice for a scenario like mine.I think you’re being unnecessarily hard on yourself. Anyway, it’s a bad time to be looking for a new job, but you can still look. Be open to being contacted by recruiters about gigs and just do a little learning every evening. You have a job. You’re doing significantly better than you were. It’s okay to not be some kinda 10x programmer. When the Josh Allen Buffalo Bills Buffalorian Shirt What’s more,I will buy this market shapes up again, you can carve your new opportunities. But you can also seek it now and if something falls in your lap, awesome I can totally see where you’re coming from OP. do you have a portfolio of personal projects or have messed around with DevOps tools on your own time by chance? (E.g. GitLab has a free trial) I think the best way to figure out where you may want to go with your career would be to just mess around with free tools on the weekend and see what you like. Frameworks are out there, Vercel has a free hobby tier, etc etc. hope this helps! I honestly didn’t recognize what I’ve been feeling toward work as “burnout” until I heard a solid definition of it in a video today. I think I assumed because I didn’t feel particularly overworked that I couldn’t be burnt out, but I guess boring/unfulfilling work can also cause it.
