YES! Child Free here, NOT childless. Married 23 years to the Jordan Luplow Minnesota fade baseball shirt What’s more,I will buy this best wife. I am her #1 and she is mine. If you do not have that desire to parent, don’t! Travel! Buy cool stuff! Get a puppy! You do you, if ypu don’t want them don’t have them. Don’t listen to anyone else, your opinion is the only one that matters 🙂 I think if you don’t want them, don’t have them. However, make SURE you will never want them because getting pregnant later when your egg quality is much poorer is difficult. So many people get to 40 and they are like, “what is the point of life?”. Many people have lost their parents by that age and are feeling alone and unfulfilled. But some people have big families and are surrounded by nieces and nephews and siblings. It just depends on your situation and temperament. Paying to clean up after and guide a tiny psychopath to adulthood hoping empathy and kindness sick enough that they don’t do awful shit by their teens/young adult life is a total hard pass for me.Kids do deserve to be adopted into decent homes more than created into bad ones. Books and helpful love more than smart phones and abusive screaming. I’m similar in age OP and I don’t want kids either. I couldn’t think of anything more cruel for either party. The potential to work myself to the bone while they get zero opportunities? No way. If you don’t give yourself to family, give yourself to something. A life in service to others is the true secret to happiness. I have kids and adore them. I can’t imagine life without them. They’re genuinely amazing and I lvoe to spend as much time as I can with them. I wouldn’t have had them had I been aware of what was happening to our planet. I thought we’d wake up and fix it in time. I’m a 32m and don’t want kids. I have lots of reasons. Maybe it will change at some point and maybe it won’t, but it is a perfectly valid view to hold. You do you, and if you are worried about finding a partner who feels the same, don’t. There are plenty of folks out there who don’t want kids. You said it yourself, “have absolutely no desire to have kids.” If there isn’t even an inkling of a desire to have children please don’t have children. I’m not sure if you’re with a partner but if so speak with him about it. Fuck bloodline and legacy. I never understood the whole legacy thing, unless you are a medieval lord or king you don’t have a “legacy” that you’ll pass down by just making kids. I’d rather contribute to the world in another way. The people that call childless people selfish are really full of bullshit. What are you contributing to the world, more mouths to feed and passing on your stupid genes? If you dont want them, dont have them. You only get one life and you should spend your short time doing the things you really want to do. Guy here. I once wanted kids. (I have take care my siblings and they are the most awesome beings so I am glad I can take care them sometimes) When I met this shitty economy and all those assholes that breed like rabbits only to grow more assholes I choosed to not have kids because of those until things get better…(I hope for the next decade if people wake up…) It’s understandable to not want kids. It’s alright and people should shut up. Idc if the humans go extinct, we might need to get extinct… Having kids makes you resentful. You lose your identity. Your relationship with your partner changes forever. Gestating, birthing and nurturing a child during the fourth trimester (first three months post partum) is hell. The sleep deprivation is unthinkable torture and you never get that lost sleep back and it ages you. Your brain changes. You never have alone time. You’re not first in your life anymore. They’re ungrateful and messy. Kids cost so much money!!! What if they have a disability or high needs and are even more work? Mine are 7 and 5 now so they’re finally more independent of me, and honestly they’re great kids and well-behaved (down to my hard, consistent work) but man it was a long road getting here.

I’ll be glad when I’m older (like in my 50s) that I’ll have my kids in my life, their life to follow, someone that makes me happy and proud just by existing but it’s a long time til you get that sweet trade off. If you know you don’t want kids DON’T DO IT! Because if you have kids then change your mind you can’t give them away, you’re their mother forever. Whatever you do, find a guy that is very sure they don’t want kids. If you fall in love with someone that wants kids you will probably have kids and it will be a miserable situation for everyone. Don’t listen to anyone telling you that you “have” to have kids. It’s always funny how others will impose their beleifs saying “you should have kids”, when in reality they aren’t going to be raising them, so who gives a fuck about their opinion.Your happiness is the Jordan Luplow Minnesota fade baseball shirt What’s more,I will buy this only thing that matters. This isn’t something to be taken lightly, but also it is something you have time to decide for your self given your age. Besides in the end, not everybody should be parents. Not saying you’re bad or anything, but having the foresight to think “maybe i don’t want kids”, is better than the pieces of shit who just have kids and teach them to be crappy human being. Living the child-free life is becoming more and more accepted in society. I see many couples who have dogs instead of children, for example. It’s absolutely not selfish to want to save your money for yourself. I think the amount of “I dread to think what the world will be like” is both unrealistic and psychologically unhealthy, unless you live in Congo or something. We’ve always had problems, probably always will, bit for the most part, we’re fine. What it should come down to is whether you yourself, deep down, want children. If so, then if your life is decently stable, go ahead. What children need is above all a loving family, not exorbitant wealth.
