I’m 25 aswell and don’t have any kids but I probably will eventually. There are some things that have stuck with me when considering this though. I will say that children bring a lot of families together and if you are struggling new parents trying your best, your other family members will probably be there to help (grandparents, aunts, uncles, close friends, etc). The birth rate is much higher in lower income countries where families are already barely getting by, but they do because they have help I’m child-free with no regrets. Dated some women with kids, and learned that kids are not for me. Born to be an uncle! Plus, I can always borrow one from a friend if I want to go to do something like a children’s museum. Being an “uncle” is the best because I get to do the fun stuff without any of the real heavy lifting. Everybody gets candy and toys that make noise! Parenting is a sacrifice and duty. While it’s sad to see a family lineage end by choice, it’s sadder to see a neglected child. No. There are so many bad actors trying to disrupt the process of starting a family. I think it’s fine if you want to wait till you’re older. I personally want kids in my 40’s. Don’t take anyone’s advice on this, it’s something you need to work out with yourself because most people will try to convince you not to because it’s better for them not you. If you don’t want kids, you shouldn’t if your reason is you “have to.” However, I have never been very fond of the whole “I don’t want to raise my kids in this messed up world!” How do you think the world is going to get any better then? Teach your kids the mistakes going on in the world and empower them to change it for the better.
