So I had some friends down the Jone Waste Yore Toye Yorall Rediii The Voice Insoide Moye Retro T-Shirt and by the same token and road when I was about 7 and I used to ply at their house. Their stepmom had this thing about cooking with the little accordion door to the kitchen locked. Which I thought was bizarre as fuck. And one night I had to stay over for dinner because my parents weren’t going to be home in time and asked if I could stay over there until they got home. I couldn’t finish my Mac and cheese and this woman would not let me leave the table or even go home until I finished. In my little kid brain I thought I would be there forever. I became very upset as my friends (her stepkids) were allowed to leave the table after finishing their food. And she was just hovering over me. I felt like I would never see my parents again. But my mom showed up and rescued me and this lady pulled the bowl of Mac and cheese from the table and put it in the sink like she hadn’t just been acting like a psycho bitch about eating the rest of it as my mom was thanking her for watching me. I’m sure I still looked like I was crying at that point because I had been. But this was hands down one of the most traumatic experiences I had as a kid and it messed me up with food for a few years afterwards. I was terrified of someone forcing me to eat my food like that again.

I had a similar experience when I was about 6 or 7. How I wish it was with macaroni and cheese. My aunt was babysitting me, and wouldn’t let me leave the Jone Waste Yore Toye Yorall Rediii The Voice Insoide Moye Retro T-Shirt and by the same token and lunch table until I finished an egg salad sandwich. To me, egg salad is not something that is universally liked, especially by kids, so I think it was a weird choice to give a first-time guest. I tried it, didn’t like it, asked for something else, was told to finish it – I think I sat there for over 2 hours until I was picked up. Yea. If I had a kid, I’d definitely encourage them to try it because it also seems like the sort of food a kid might weirdly love, but I wouldn’t expect them to finish it if they didn’t like it. This behaviour sucks to begin with, but being really strict to someone elses kids is even more fucked up to me. They can’t even know which weird rules your household lives by, and you have even less of a right to punish them than you do your own kids! Go look at the relationship advice forum. Almost everyone assumes that their own “weird little rules” are universal behaviors.
