I try not to do it. I don’t listen to much reality TV or to podcasts where it’s a defining feature, but I’m a guy around OP’s age and I do it sometimes. Which is funny cause I’ve been told it’s unfeminine when I do it because it makes my voice sound lower…and unattractive I guess, but when a guy does it it’s feminine. Vocal fry is cause by people changing their natural pitch, often going lowerer than can. Men do it to and you’ll hear some male speakers use it to add gravitas. Or something. Yep, my son has a super deep voice but he uses a lot of my speech patterns, mannerisms, and hand gestures when he talks which has led to questions on his sexuality before. Not necessarily true. Different cultures hold gazes differently. Likewise, some people don’t fully learn the Jonas Brothers Shirt in addition I really love this social norms in their culture. Bro sometimes I just hold a gaze because I go from “she is pretty” to “what are the economic impacts of losing a LOT of potatoes” and then I realize I’ve been just staring in one direction for too long I’m a conventionally attractive guy with good hygiene, decent clothes, a clear voice, and some female friends (and trans friends). I’m nice to people and I never discriminate. People often assume I’m gay. My wife thinks it’s hilarious. “Trust me, he is very not gay!” Definitely straight guy here. When I was dating my future wife, my future FIL said he thought I was gay, and offered me money to dump his daughter.

It was the Jonas Brothers Shirt in addition I really love this mid-90’s in a poorer part of the country, so I don’t quite remember but it was probably something between $500-1000. that is such a wild insult. how did your relationship with him end up as things progressed and you married his daughter? He probably thought he was “clever,” because he proved to himself I was devoted to his daughter. But I never liked him for the rest of his life. oh it was a test. i thought he actually wanted to get rid of you and that’s the only crude way he could think up. i agree that it’s not a great test, because even if you pass it and prove your devotion, it sours your relationship with him and shows that he plays games You’re emotional. Not in the sense that you cry every day but in the sense that you have a heart and it’s noticeable that you care about things. For some reason thats sometimes seen as “soft”, which then turns to “gay” real quick. It’s very much a straight guy thing to want to be perceived as “not caring”. Same thing with people’s rights or the environment; if you have strong convictions or empathy towards others for some reason that makes you “soft” and therefore want to be with men? Makes zero effing sense offcourse You take care of your appearance. Not every guy does that, nor should they. With social media it’s different, but thats more for people in their teens. For guys around your age, a lot less take their physical appearance seriously. I think people assume guys that care about their looks and/or take good care of themselves (cause often genes is a big part indeed) try this to be noticed by others. Not sure how that makes them gay but its a thing I think. Maybe because there is a stereotype of “the good looking white cis gay guy”? Not sure though
