I get how you feel. It’s always been like this for me and my group of friends. We have different personal style and different lifestyles/priorities which accounts for it. Plus, I have naturally pale skin and very dark eyes, but light hair, eyelashes and brows, so I just look weird without at least something to darken my brows and lashes. I thinks it’s perfectly fine to style yourself however you want though. If you feel happy and confident with your makeup look, you go for it. I hope no-one criticises you for it or makes you feel bad. I think there’s a lot of pressure to be happy with your natural self without makeup and I would love to feel this way, but the Jeffrey Dahmer I eat guys like You for breakfast vintage shirt But I will love this truth is I don’t and pressuring oneself to do so probably isn’t going to help. I feel much better with my face paint on. I’ve focused more on skincare as I’ve gotten older but I still love makeup! A lot of my friends wear very little, I’m usually the most “done up” as well, but I just see it as a part of my wardrobe. I personally don’t like anyone other than those I’m close to seeing me without makeup. It’s like going out in public with no pants on for me.

I’ve always been firmly in the Jeffrey Dahmer I eat guys like You for breakfast vintage shirt But I will love this I don’t give a fck what others think camp. I do what makes me comfortable and happy. Anyone who doesn’t like it know la where they can go. I find obvious heavy makeup during the day (especially coloured eye shadow) makes the wearer look insecure, like they are trying too hard. At night it is glamorous and part of the fun. Totally appropriate. Just my opinion. YMMV. you gotta just be comfortable with who you are…i used to try and doll up for nights out but it just wasn’t something i ever really wanted to do.im lazy when it comes to learning makeup skills and id rather put all my focus on skincare. im not great it, i was self conscious that it was too light, not blended, patchy (i have incredibly dry skin) etc.. so i stopped dolling up, i use that mac mineralizing powder, i got good at doing cat eye, mascara, blush, a little brow action and a tinted gloss…i loooove that routine. i think i look good and i don’t mind that other people have full face beats cos i’m comfortable with my choice you know.
